James joined Moog Aircraft Group in 2013. He holds the title of Business Unit Director, Transformative Technologies. His responsibilities include new capabilities development, business development, innovation strategies, and scenario based strategy designs. Currently, he is tasked with creating solutions for our customer’s aircraft sustainment challenges by leveraging Moog’s market leading 3D Printing, Blockchain, and AI capabilities.  Additionally, James is innovating traditional supply chain strategies with his patent pending Blockchain based solution, VeriPart ®.  Prior to joining Moog, James was a Colonel in the United States Air Force.  He has commanded at the group and squadron levels and held positions on the Joint Staff, Air Staff and Strategic Command staffs.  Additionally, he served as the Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Security Council, Executive Office of the President, for both the Bush and Obama administrations.  James is a command pilot with over 4,200 hours in the C-17 and     KC-135 aircraft.

James holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Geography from The United States Air Force Academy, a Masters of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Masters of Science degree in Military Operational Arts and Sciences from the Air Command and Staff College, and a Masters of Science degree in National Resource Strategy with a concentration in Advanced Strategic Planning and Strategy from the National Defense University, Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
